Final Project
Project Description
For our final project, we were tasked with coming up with a solution to one of the problems affecting the world, and our solution had to be using biology. The first step in this was to brainstorm world problems. We had to come up with two each, and then combine them into a single document that we would submit. In this, we had to write solutions that already exist, who it affects, and what area the problem challenges. The second stage was researching three problems that we liked more than the others. We had to describe, in detail, each problem, describe why the problem hasn't been solved, or the limitations of the current solutions, the solution we want to use to help solve the problem, and a mentor that we can use to learn more about the problem. Then, we had to select one of those three solutions, describe it in further detail, a description of our solution, what we need to do to get our solution implemented, and send an email to a mentor who can help us with our solution and teach us more about the problem we're trying to solve. The final step was to put this all into a presentation. You can see this presentation, and each of the stages, down below.

Reflection
This was probably one of the best projects that I have done all year. It helped that I was able to work with my friends, so we were able to collaborate much better than any of my other groups. We were able to generate many high quality ideas that led the way to a successful presentation, but there were some downfalls. We would often times get distracted when we didn't feel we had anything to do, instead of working on the next stage. This created some problems, but we were able to get the work we needed to get done in plenty of time. Another good thing was that when we wanted to work, we worked hard. We were able to produce work that lived up to our high standards, and in decent amount of time. This contributed to our distractions, as we would finish our work quickly and not have anything to do, so we turned to video games. One other thing that wasn't great was that we would often times talk to other groups. This distracted us, and them, neither of which are good. It hindered our productivity. Overall, I really liked how we worked together as a group, and although we were not always the most productive, the work we ended up doing was, in my opinion, very good work.
